In support of Domestic Violence Awareness, the ladies of The C4PE MD shared tips on recognizing the signs of abuse, how to create a safety plan and more. Dr. Tamika Knox also shared a personal account which some of the ladies learned for the first time.
On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. During one year, this equates to more than 10 million women and men. Studies suggest that there is a relationship between intimate partner violence and depression and suicidal behavior.
